Blueberry & Chicken Sausage Pizza Waffles
Ingredients2 (5 oz) packages Jones Dairy Farm All Natural Golden Brown® Chicken Sausage Patties
1 (16.3 oz) tube refrigerated biscuits
1 cup shredded mozzarella
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon blueberry preserves
DIRECTIONSHeat chicken sausage patties per package directions; set aside. Preheat waffle iron.
Open tube of biscuits and separate, then slice each biscuit in half most of the way through.
Drop 1 tablespoon mozzarella and 1/2 teaspoon preserves in center of bottom half of each biscuit. Top with 1 sausage patty and 1 tablespoon mozzarella. Stretch dough to close the biscuit around the sausage and seal.
Place in waffle iron, close tightly, and cook until no more steam comes out of the iron. Repeat until all the waffled pizzas are cooked.
Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 3 days in refrigerator. To reheat, bake in toaster oven at 350˚F for 4-5 minutes, or until warm and lightly toasted.
