Ingredients Serves 6
|4 jalapeno pepper, stemmed|
|4 clove garlic, peeled|
|1 1⁄2 tsp cracked black pepper|
|1 tbsp coarse salt|
|1⁄4 cup lime juice|
|1 tbsp dried oregano|
|1 1⁄2 lb top sirloin steak|
- Add jalapenos, garlic, pepper, salt, lime juice, and oregano to a blender and process until smooth.
- Place steak in a shallow pan or large resealable plastic bag. Pour marinade over the steak and turn to coat. Cover the pan or seal the bag. Marinate in the refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight.
- Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat and lightly oil the grate.
- Drain and discard marinade. Grill the steak for 5 minutes per side or to desired doneness.
