In the 1970's, French cheesemaker Jean-Noel Bongrain brought his passion and skill to the rolling hills of Lancaster County, PA. He began creating French-style recipes with flavors suited to the US. Today Alouette's fresh, flavorful cheeses are produced in Lancaster, PA and Lena, Illionois.
